PRACTICE SAYING THE ANSWER

Listen, record yourself, then compare. Recordings stay in this tab and are limited to 30 seconds and 2 MB. This is ungraded practice.

Microphone starts only when you press RECORD.

Optional browser transcription

The browser speech service may receive microphone audio. Availability varies by browser and language. A transcript is not a pronunciation score.

Sound starts when you press a play or speak button.

BACKGROUND AUDIO

1 / 16 layersOFF
20-16000 Hz per channel

Each layer has its own left/right pitch, level and rhythm. Monaural mixes both pitches into both ears; AM and pulse use MOD Hz and DEPTH. Master now spans 0-100%; the normalized mix leaves headroom for Morse. Browser speech uses its own output stream. Start quietly; stop if uncomfortable. More layers do not establish better learning.

Left/right checks use a brief fixed level, independent of Master. Timer changes set the total duration from this run's start. A shorter limit that has already elapsed stops the rack.

Audio is off. Settings are saved locally; Start enables sound.

OFF

Start quietly. The browser cannot measure sound level at your ears. Stop for discomfort, ringing, headache, or dizziness. A frequency setting is an experiment, not a demonstrated healing effect.

Saved comparisons keep their original fixed output scale (0-20 level), so earlier observations remain comparable. For the expanded volume range, use COPY SINGLE RECIPE above and adjust the rack Master; this does not change comparison history.

Single-recipe controls apply on the next START BACKGROUND. The rack above applies edits while playing. Unused controls are disabled for the selected mode.

Combine or sweep signal components

These controls test additional variables. A combination may help, do nothing, or interfere. Changing several variables together cannot identify which one caused a result.

Stereo level drift changes left/right loudness without mixing their frequencies. It is not a measured three-dimensional position. Sweep depth is bounded so the rate stays within the generator’s range. All components are recorded in a comparison recipe.

No experimental background audio.

Audio is off. Morse remains centered; speech uses the selected language.

Test what helps you remember

Freeze a question and a balanced random order. Practise the same course, direction, and mode in comparable blocks. Return for unaided recall after one day and seven days. This is an exploratory record from one browser; lesson difficulty and prior exposure are not automatically matched.

Results count each item once per block. Revealed answers, unexposed cards, repeats, and interrupted blocks are retained in the export but excluded from the comparison above. Early follow-ups are labeled. Repeated responses are not independent participants. No automatic “best frequency” is inferred.

Audio comparison records stay in this browser on this domain. Export them to preserve or share them. The app does not combine them across people or infer cellular effects from quiz scores.

Learning, protection, and repair

The research aim is preserved. Each link in the proposed mechanism needs its own evidence: delivered sound → brain response → learning or biological change. Producing the requested waveform establishes only the first step.

18 Hz and sentence comprehension

Kim et al. found better sentence-task accuracy and response time after 10 minutes of music containing 18 Hz binaural beats. Their 40 Hz condition did not show the same benefit. This did not establish durable second-language acquisition or neural repair. Our 400 Hz carrier and use during practice are engineering choices, not an exact replication.

Some conditions can hinder performance

Klichowski et al. studied 1,000 people at home. Their binaural conditions, including 5 and 15 Hz, reduced fluid-reasoning scores. Tasks, timing, and frequencies differ from the language study. Silence therefore remains a real contender.

40 Hz amplitude modulation

Pellegrino et al. measured auditory-driven gamma synchrony using a 1,000 Hz carrier modulated at 40 Hz. A measured neural response does not by itself establish better learning, disease treatment, or neuron growth.

40 Hz light and sound are a different intervention

Chan et al. studied a synchronized light-and-click device in mild Alzheimer’s dementia. This small pilot supported further research. An audio-only binaural or AM setting is not the same intervention. This app does not generate flashing-screen stimulation.

Neuron-growth research

Yan et al. reported greater hippocampal neurogenesis after repeated 40 Hz light flicker in adult mice and investigated a parvalbumin-interneuron pathway. Species, light delivery, and biological endpoints matter: the result does not establish neuron growth from human browser audio.

A recent audio-only lead

Taei et al. reported benefits from 21 days of 40 Hz auditory stimulation in an induced Alzheimer’s rat model, including neurogenesis-related gene expression. Gene markers are not proof of new functional neurons in human listeners.

Myelin protection is another endpoint

Rodrigues-Amorim et al. studied 40 Hz audiovisual stimulation in a mouse demyelination model. Myelin and oligodendrocyte effects are biologically distinct from creating neurons. They require their own measurements.

The Sinclair-related NAD⁺ repair link

Li et al., including David Sinclair, investigated NAD⁺, DBC1, and the DNA-repair protein PARP1. That mechanism does not establish a sound → NAD⁺ → repair pathway, nor an audio/NMN/fasting combination effect. This app cannot measure those molecular steps.

The supplied Mountain R41 kernel asks for a precise question, the evidence, explicit assumptions, discriminating tests, and revision when a test fails (PDF pages 825–829). Its shared-source rule also prevents counting several agents or copies as independent evidence (page 852). Here: learning answers are measured; comfort is self-reported; EEG, NAD⁺/PARP1 activity, repair, and neurogenesis remain not measured.

Signal definitions and what a volume slider means

Binaural: one frequency in each ear, with the difference perceived through separate-ear processing. Monaural: nearby tones mixed into each output. AM: a carrier with a changing amplitude. Pulsed: a softened on/off envelope. A 40 Hz rhythm is not the same thing as a 40 Hz bass carrier.

For a 400 Hz center and 18 Hz binaural difference, the channels are 391 Hz and 409 Hz. Sweeps integrate frequency over time to preserve continuous phase. Morse is a separate centered 550 Hz signal with standard element timing and softened edges. Simple audio components use nominal power normalization; combined components, headphones, hearing, and device settings still prevent a claim of equal perceived loudness or calibrated exposure.

Keep a comfortable low volume and use the timer. Sound exposure depends on both level and duration; a web percentage cannot determine the actual decibels at your ear. WHO–ITU safe-listening standard.

DECKS / TEACH EACH OTHER

A language goes
both ways.

Choose a starter, or make a deck with someone who speaks the language. Export it, share the file, and each person can practice in either direction.

ASL here contains text descriptions of fingerspelling handshapes. It does not teach signed conversation or assess movement. Kana is a 30-character starter. Media metadata in imported decks is retained for export; this trainer displays text.

Two columns. Any Unicode language.

Use language tags such as en, fr, es, it, ar, ja or pt-BR. Add alternative answers, hints and tags in BROWSE / EDIT CARDS. Accents are meaningful; capitalization and repeated spaces are ignored.

Up to 30 custom decks, 20,000 cards total, and 5,000 per deck. Importing an existing deck creates a separate copy. Progress backups merge newer entries and leave other courses in place.

PROGRESS / THIS BROWSER

Come back
when it is due.

Correct unassisted recall schedules the next check in 1 day, then 3 days, then longer intervals. A miss or Reveal comes back after a minute. Extra practice records the attempt without bringing a future review forward.

“Established” means three successful due reviews and an interval of at least seven days. It is a scheduling label, not a proficiency certificate. LEARN views and listening exposures are counted separately.

Each site address and browser keeps its own progress. Export here, then import on another browser or mirror. The backup includes your custom decks.

Learning works without sending progress.

Reset affects Omniteacher progress only. Custom decks stay available. Export a backup first if you want to keep the record.

DECK DETAILS

Changing words, accepted answers, language or pronunciation creates a new card identity. Earlier review records remain in your backup, so old outcomes are never assigned to a changed question. Notes and tags keep the current identity.

READ / EXCHANGE

Use language tags such as en, fr, ar, ja or pt-BR. This reader keeps your text as text. It does not generate translations.

Your words.
Your copy.

Save decks, progress, learning preferences, readings and audio comparisons in one file. Import it on another browser or mirror. Nothing is uploaded by these controls.

A deck share contains the words, meanings, hints and tags. Your progress and research records stay out of it. The recipient sees a preview before importing.

Small decks can travel in the link itself. Larger decks use a file. Anyone you give the link to can read its deck; no hosted link or account is created.

Download the complete teacher as one HTML file, then open it in a browser. It includes the starter decks and learning tools. Bring your own data with the backup above. Device voices and microphone support still depend on the browser.

DOWNLOAD OFFLINE TEACHER

The saved app stays on this site address. Browser storage may be cleared by the browser or its owner, so keep a backup file too. Removing the offline copy leaves your decks and progress in place.
